  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2¾ cups flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon


  1. Beat sugar, butter, and eggs together.
  2. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt.
  3. Shape dough into 1¼ inch balls.
  4. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and roll dough in the mixture.
  5. Bake at 400 F for 8-10 minutes.
